Whether they are fresh, frozen or in conserves, raw or cooked, fruit and vegetables are an interesting source of fibers*,
vitamins and minerals. Fruits provide simple carbohydrates and an immediate supply of energy to the body but for a short period only.
You must eat 2 to 3 fruits per day and at least green vegetables twice per day.
To apply this recommendation, all you have to do is have one fruit at each meal, have a salad starter (e.g. grated carrots, green salad, avocados) and an accompaniment of cooked green vegetables (e.g. green beans, mushrooms, beetroot, tomatoes, etc.).
