Milk and dairy products supply proteins*, vitamins and calcium (mineral essential for building bones).
To provide for our calcium requirements, we must vary the dairy products: milk, yoghurt, cheese, fromage blanc, petits-suisses, desserts.
Cooked cheeses are richer in calcium.
Vitamin D must be taken to help the absorption of calcium. It is found in fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines, etc.). It is also made by the skin when it is exposed to the sun.
For your dietary balance, do not forget to eat one dairy product at each meal including one portion of cheese each day.
(* see Glossary)
Supplex offers several dessert mixes to vary your daily intake of calcium. (mixtures for cocoa, coffee, vanilla, lemon, praline, apricot desserts, cocoa cakes or confectioners' custard).
